For years, people thought the hit right before Eddie Van Halen’s guitar solo in “Beat It” was either a mistake or Van Halen tapping his guitar to cue the solo. In reality, it was Michael Jackson himself who created the sound by striking a drum case. He even received a credit for it as “drum case beater.”

In May 1992, Michael Jackson starred in his FINAL commercial for Pepsi during their historic partnership. In the campaign, Michael was seen singing “I’ll Be There” at the piano in an emotional duet with his younger self. The song, originally released by The Jackson 5 in 1970, received a softer and more nostalgic interpretation especially for the commercial. I love Paris Jackson’s new stories she’s so chill, just eating her apples and showing her day. I find it hilarious because she looks super zen, especially with all the Epstein stuff coming out now… it’s like she’s saying, “Whatever, now everyone knows my dad was always innocent.” I just love this woman, haha.
