At this point, we were already late so we cancelled our Lilongwe booking and planned to sleep at Nkhata Bay. We wish someone told us about the potholes, and countless checkpoints, that followed for the next 250 kms. Took us 7-8hrs to cover them and slept at Mzuzu instead. 1AM
