The ability to change your views/thoughts as new information comes to the surface is tough. Mad respect here to Prof Noc for changing how he views the Retrio project and being open minded to what it is or what it could be. This is healthy theorycrafting and how it should be, not hivemind mentality recycling the same thing with slightly different words. Watching this vid really got me thinking on the problems with theories in this fandom and how people view the Retrio. I'll just do a small thread 🧵⤵️

Out of context clip trying to push your obvious agenda here...textbook disingenuous garbage post. The panel here is from Kin-Yoobi Con August 25 2024. Brianna was responding to a clear shipping bait question: Audience Member "So I wanted to know whether you had any direction from the director about the specifics relationship between Aerith and Zack, especially in Crisis Core, versus the direction you had with Aerith and Cloud in Remake and Rebirth, because it's very playful." Brianna "Yeah, so you want me to say if the director believes in Zerith or Clerith, is that what you're asking? Cause I'm not going to tell you that!" The clip conviently cut out this part of the video and how Brianna was talking about ZA in terms of CC. Funny how that sets this whole thing in perspective huh? 🥴 I'll link the entire panel video below

Cloud doesn't have to say he's jealous...the game doesn't have to "say" he's jealous. The game shows you that he is jealous. The line is actually more aggressive in JP when you don't ignore context and nuance. I explained in one of my videos about this entire scene.

It's funny when people claim to love Aerith (or even cosplay as her), but their tone changes the moment she starts showing what she truly wants and not acting the way they want her to act. Anyone referring to this whole sequence as "wrong" or "weird" is a clear example of poor media literacy. The game couldn't have made it clearer right before this sequence played out with Zack and Marlene's conversation. In reality, Marlene said it twice. Is it really this difficult to understand this story?
