Lithium mining activity going on at the Old Oyo National Park, the first frame showed the sorting process of the earthy minerals at the Old Oyo National park while the other two videos shows logistics activities of the bikes. Ranging from there are multiple entries to the site either from Oyo State via Kishi and Igbeti or via Bani a border town along Kwara and Oyo State. Once a bike enters the forest, there are about 7 - 8 checkpoints within the forest which is controlled by locals providing security for miners in the forest. Each of this checkpoint charges each bike per trip ranging from 100naira, 200,300 and 500naira while the last checkpoint which will lead you to Daba (illegal mining) charges 2,700naira per trip. And the estimated population of the bikes plying through the area is around 3000 to 5000 bikes. Which is significantly increasing, the mining which has started about 8yrs ago has been accepted by all parties both locals and foreigners including the Chinese who are actively participating in buying the minerals there. It is an organized crime and has many wings because those who do not mine but just look for logistics companies to pick up the items earn about 500,000 naira on each truck they bring forward. The local security earn more than 300,000 naira daily for those recieving 100naira as gate fee. The Federal Govt and State Govt needs to pay a huge and urgent attention to this mining activity, it is a billion dollar economy which is been illegally mined.

One of the Major things I was pointing out as regards the use of Sunday Igboho as security enforcer in Southwest, is because of its antecedents on violation of human rights, and ethnic profiling, but I was called a raven dog for saying the obvious. This video was captured while members of Iru Ekun were seen using a cutlass to beat some persons from northern extraction travelling around Ondo State, even after proper verification, they were still subjected to inhumane treatment. I visited RCCG new auditorium ground in Shimawa and I have a question to ask, how did RCCG got this land, cos this land is massive. Daddy GO is a blessing to RCCG, I was looking for someone in the auditorium and the person told me he is at pillar 25s, like what do you mean by 25s? My family needed to follow a church bus she booked to return home, only for them to say they are sitting at pillar 27k, you mean I have to count a row of 27k to link up with you guys? OSINT: This bandit received a huge ransom payment yesterday, and shortly after recieving the huge amount of ransom payment, they went on another voyage to kidnapped another victim. The horde is likely between Katsina and Zamfara State, the security forces needs to intensify their efforts to stop this criminals.

UPDATE: Alhaji Sani Yellow posted a video denying his death that occurred 2days ago which was wrongly posted on social media. However, the image of the dead bandit killed is a commander (Yellow) loyal to Gwaska. The name Yellow has become a popular name and a nickname in Banditry world.

BREAKING: The Nigerian Military arrests a notorious bandit Sule Yellow goes by (suleyellow6) on Tiktok, he was arrested after collecting ransom payment from the victim's family. Sule was on Tiktok on March 04 doing a livestream video with his fellow bandit Auta and others. The security forces have since disabled his account after the arrest was made.

OSINT: This bandit named Bashir Kankara, kidnapped an unidentified individual and was blindfolded and the bandit is seen mocking him, stating that even if the victim is an old man or woman, they won't release the person until the family pays ransom. The video was on Tiktok about 10hrs ago, this is the first time a bandit will show his victim on his own direct Tiktok page.

The guy in military camouflage named (Musa) and green attire unidentified, kidnapped two Fulani activists named S Fulani & G Ardo. S Fulani visited G Ardo in Kaduna, so when it was time to go back to his home, G Ardo) saw him off on their way both of them got kidnapped, tortured and killed by musa who is a bandit. Dogo Gyde heard about it, and decided to punish the two bandits for kidnapping the two activists who were tortured, and killed by the bandit.

INSIDE OYO NATIONAL PARK: HOW ILLEGAL MINING HAS TURNED A PROTECTED FOREST INTO A LAWLESS COMMUNITY. As some of you might recall, i did a light report about illegal mining carried out in Old Oyo National Park which is linked to Kwara State as well in 2023. After the report which, I remembered reaching out to Ministry of Mining, a taskforce was established to curtail the activities of the miners, it worked effectively especially at the Oyo state side but it wasn't working effectively in Kwara state. After the killings of 5 National Park personnel by bandits last week, which I broke the news, I carried out an investigation to see the level of compliance at the Old Oyo National Park where lithium mining activity is going, then i discovered the said mining has become a full blown community. The current number of illegal miners operating at Old Oyo National Park is estimated to be between 200,000 and 400,000, including individuals involved in buying and selling activities at the site. According to my research , there is nothing sold outside the illegal mining site that is not also sold within the site. Items sold include foodstuffs, soft drinks, alcoholic beverages, and various forms of hard drugs. There is also the presence of sex workers who render their services to illegal miners inside grass huts constructed within the area. Additionally, medical drugs and medical items such as needles, injections, and intravenous fluids are openly sold at the site. Explosives are also sold to illegal miners and are used for blasting lithium during excavation. There are thousands of blacksmiths on site who fabricate various tools used for illegal mining activities, including shovels, diggers, chisels, and hammers. There is a high rate of child labour at the illegal mining site, also known as Daba. These children are used mainly for sorting lithium from rocks. The illegal mining site is divided into two sections: the Yoruba illegal mining section and the Hausa/Fulani illegal mining section. Both sections are located within Old Oyo National Park. The road leading to the illegal mining site (Daba) is not motorable. Access to the site is only possible by motorcycle. All extracted lithium is transported by motorcycles to Bonni, Igbeti, or Soro in Kishi. This indicates that illegal miners access the mining site through Igbeti, Kishi, and Bonni. As at the time of writing this report, many empty trucks are observed entering through Igbeti, Oyo State, heading directly to Bonni, and passing through Bonni to Jeba Oloru, Kwara State, from where the lithium is transported to destinations of their choice. They operate within the confines of laws established by the illegal miners’ chairman, popularly known as “CD.” Anyone who commits the crime of stealing is punished by death. The area is so enclosed that outsiders can be fished out by them. A bike man who carries lithium from the forest to the truck earns ₦12,000 per bag. One bag of lithium weighs 100kg, and they carry two bags, making 200kg. The miners are so familiar with the area that they can easily move to Igbeti, Kishi, and Bonni in Kwara State from the forest while evading security forces without being noticed, because many of them have been living in the forest for more than three years without seeing the outside world. It is imperative that both the Kwara State Government, Oyo State Government, and the Federal Government get hold of this before it becomes a security problem for the whole country. Illegal mining in Old Oyo National Park is progressing, not regressing.

Troops of the Nigerian Army under Operation HADIN KAI arrested a suspected ISWAP member transporting motorcycles tyres and other maintenance spares from the Timbuktu triangle, military sources confirmed on Thursday. During interrogation, the suspect confessed his affiliation with the group, stating in a video released by the troops: “I am from the Markas of Kauwa under the leadership of Hamzala and assisted by Abu Umar. I buy the tyres from Bajoga in Gombe State and navigate through Kukuwa, Gumsa, Azare and cross to Buratai before returning to Timbuktu. “I buy the MCs tyres for 13,000 naira and sell for 25,000 naira as a wholesale. I also buy plugs for 3,000 naira and sell for 600 while we buy at 350 in Nigeria.”

In the third video it shows ransom payment received ranging to millions of naira. It is important security agencies keep track of these things.

🚨 SECURITY UPDATE | Saturday, July 4, 2026 Two weeks after Chief Sunday Adeyemo (Sunday Igboho) issued a two-hour ultimatum to Fulani leaders over the abduction, sources say a joint team of FID-IRT operatives and men loyal to Sunday Igboho rescued a kidnapped woman and her two-year-old son from a forest hideout in Bode Sadu, Kwara State. According to sources, the operation, which began on July 1 and intensified on July 3, turned into a gun battle after the kidnappers allegedly opened fire on the team, which had approached under the guise of delivering ransom. The suspects reportedly fled into the forest, with some believed to have escaped with gunshot wounds. Sources said the woman and her child were rescued alive and are receiving medical treatment at Igboho General Hospital. The development comes after the kidnappers demanded ₦150 million for the victims' release. However, reliable sources also disclosed that one abducted victim remains in captivity after being separated from the woman and child four days after their abduction.
