Shops, petrol pumps and local businesses plan to cover their QR codes and scanners with black cloth, which means PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm and BHIM might not be accepted anywhere that day. UPI से ₹2,000 से ज्यादा के पेमेंट पर 0.4% चार्ज की चर्चा के बीच व्यापारियों में क्या असर होगा? सरकार की ओर से मर्चेंट से जुड़े शुल्क को लेकर स्थिति स्पष्ट किए जाने के बाद यह मुद्दा कारोबारियों और डिजिटल पेमेंट इस्तेमाल करने वालों के बीच चर्चा में है। बताया गया है कि ₹2,000 तक के UPI पेमेंट पर ग्राहक और व्यापारी से कोई शुल्क नहीं लिया जाएगा, जबकि ₹2,000 से अधिक के कुछ मर्चेंट ट्रांजैक्शन पर शुल्क की व्यवस्था की बात सामने आई है। इसमें अधिकतम शुल्क ₹300 तक होने की बात कही गई है। वहीं, छोटे दुकानदारों के लिए निर्धारित सीमा तक लेनदेन पर शुल्क से छूट का प्रावधान बताया गया है। सरकार और एनपीसीआई (NPCI) का यह नया ढांचा 15 अक्टूबर 2026 से लागू हो रहा है। इसी मुद्दे को लेकर WooNews की टीम ने व्यापारियों से सीधी बातचीत की और जाना कि अगर बड़े UPI पेमेंट पर मर्चेंट से शुल्क लिया जाता है, तो इसका कारोबार पर क्या असर पड़ सकता है। क्या व्यापारी इस अतिरिक्त लागत को खुद वहन करेंगे या इसका असर ग्राहकों तक पहुंच सकता है? दुकानदारों ने इस मुद्दे पर क्या कहा और उनकी सबसे बड़ी चिंता क्या है? वित्त वर्ष 2025-26 के आंकड़ों के अनुसार, दुकानदारों को किए गए UPI पेमेंट में ₹2,000 से ज्यादा के ट्रांजैक्शन संख्या में करीब 4% थे, लेकिन कुल वैल्यू में उनकी हिस्सेदारी करीब 66% बताई गई है। इसी वजह से बड़े मर्चेंट ट्रांजैक्शन और उनसे जुड़े पेमेंट खर्च को लेकर चर्चा बढ़ी है। सरकार की ओर से UPI को बढ़ावा देने के लिए पहले से प्रोत्साहन योजना भी चलाई जाती रही है। अब बड़े मर्चेंट पेमेंट से जुड़े शुल्क की व्यवस्था को लेकर व्यापारियों और डिजिटल पेमेंट से जुड़े लोगों की प्रतिक्रियाएं सामने आ रही हैं।
