A high-level defence delegation of the Democratic Republic of Congo, headed by Lieutenant General Banza Mwilambwe Jules, Chief of Defence of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Congo, called on Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff & Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), at General Headquarters (GHQ), Rawalpindi. Upon arrival at GHQ, the visiting dignitary was presented a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out tri-services contingent. During the meeting, matters of mutual interest, regional security environment and avenues for enhanced bilateral defence and security cooperation were discussed. Both dignitaries expressed satisfaction over the longstanding cordial relations between Pakistan and Democratic Republic of Congo. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed which aims at broadening and strengthening defence and security cooperation between the two countries. Earlier, Lieutenant General Banza Mwilambwe Jules, also called on Admiral Naveed Ashraf, NI, NI (M), T Bt, Chief of the Naval Staff and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, NI (M), HJ, Chief of the Air Staff. The visiting dignitary lauded the professionalism, operational capabilities and unwavering commitment of the Armed Forces of Pakistan towards maintaining peace and stability in the region and acknowledged the significant progress achieved through indigenization and self-reliance.

Big revelations of the injured terrorist involved in the Pakistan Rangers Sindh camp attack The arrested terrorist of Jamaat ul Ahrar revealed that his name is Usman Ali and he came from Jalalabad, Afghanistan. He was accompanied by three companions named Abdul Hadi, Janan and Umar Farooq. Usman said Abdul Hadi has been killed, Janan threw a bomb at the Rangers camp, and they arrived in Pakistan seven days ago to meet Abdul Hadi, a resident of Bajaur. They were kept in an under construction building and the weapons were brought from Waziristan by Abdul Hadi. Usman said he was shot while trying to flee. He belongs to Jamaat ul Ahrar, whose Afghanistan commander is Ahrar Maulvi Sahib. Usman said they were all trained in Afghanistan, prepare their own suicide jackets, and the training was given by Umar Qari. Before coming to Karachi, all arrangements were made from Afghanistan, and Abdul Hadi knew everyone as he had visited before.

Pak-Afghan Border Update: Clashes erupted after Afghan Taliban terrorists attempted to set up new border posts. Despite repeated warnings, Pakistani security forces resorted to aerial firing to push them back. Within the next hour, Afghan Taliban deployed quadcopters and brought in Humvees, opening fire on Pakistan's FC Ziarat Post in Kurram. Pakistani Security forces retaliated with heavy weapons, targeting Duran Camp, Duran OP, Porana Thana, and the newly established Afghan Ziarat post. As a result, Afghan Taliban completely abandoned their border posts, including Duran Camp, and retreated, leaving behind equipment and positions. The situation is now calm. (Video Representative)
