Mono has turned the big 5! 🎉 It has been 1827 days of empowering African businesses with secure access to users’ financial data, and building innovative ways to verify customers’ identity data and collect payments. Still, it feels like day 1 for our team, and we’re grateful for the businesses who have trusted us since the early days. Over 4 years ago, we made a bet that seemed crazy to some: building Open Banking infrastructure in Nigeria. While we waited for an official foundation, our team was: → Writing the first lines of code for innovative account aggregation → Building customer consent and data privacy into the centre of our technology → Having conversations with financial institutions about API partnerships → Onboarding our first brave fintech partners who believed in the vision With the CBN's official Open Banking launch approaching, those "early days" feel like yesterday. 4+ years of building ahead of this curve has prepared us, and we can't wait for the many possibilities that lie ahead!
