Starship's launch clamps might be the most satisfying machine in the entire space industry. They are just so perfectly synchronised and so smooth. It's just beautiful.

The BBC just referred to Falcon 9 as Starship in their report on New Glenn 😅 I'll be honest, this report wasn't great.

I've animated Starship getting caught by the tower and I'm nearly done rendering it all. Not long until it's ready!

My wonderful parents blessed me with this this smart telescope this Christmas. 🙏 I'll try to post some astrophotography once I've worked out how to use it.

Honestly, that was impressive first flight for ZQ3 A flawless ascent, the second stage made it to orbit, a successful re-entry burn, stable descent, and all that went wrong was an engine failure on the landing burn No other reusable booster has got this close to a landing on its first flight I wouldn't be surprised if LandSpace can sort out whatever destroyed that engine by the next flight, and then a successful landing would seem pretty likely

I'm a big fan of when you can see the sound waves coming from a rocket's engines in its exhaust plume. The absolute power of this machine is insane.

The ship catch animation project started in 2025 but was re-started from scratch in 2026. There are also a few re-worked or cut scenes and assets from the 2026 animation which have not been publicly released. It would be a shame to let all that work go to waste so I have complied all the unreleased content which I think is interesting from both projects in this video.

Incredible manoeuvring of Starship on its way back to Earth. Like an aircraft lining up to land on a runway.
