#Balan from starting till the grandmother's death movie was brilliant👏 But after that writer Jithu faltered big time👎 Illogical scenes & lazy writing were pretty evident till the end😬 Mentally ill ആയിട്ടുള്ള ഹോം നഴ്സിനെ തോക്കും കൊടുത്തു നിർത്തിട്ട് പിന്നെ ഇ പെണ്ണ് എന്താണ് bus സ്റ്റോപ്പിൽ പോയി കൊച്ചിനെ വിളിക്കാഞ്ഞത്? അവർക്ക് നേരെ പോയി കൊച്ചിനേം വിളിച്ചു പോയ പോരെ? അവരെ അവിടെ ആരും കണ്ടിട്ടുമില്ല ആർക്കും അറിയാനും പാടില്ല! എന്താണാവോ Jithu ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചത്?🥴 Initial half had mother & son constantly running making us feel someone was chasing them or that a revenge angle was coming. But movie suddenly shifts to a completely different track son in custody, mother missing, son escaping elsewhere, Tovinos intro in the final act. They totally lost the plot👎 Tovino acted brilliantly but was a total miscast. That role never needed a star a fresh face would have done wonders. Jean Paul character arc was good but again lazy writing. How did he find out that mentally ill lady was the boys mother? & can someone simply claim to be her brother & get her discharged? Then he transfers her from one mental hospital to another paying from his own pocket🤷♂️ Even the climax didnt work for me. After meeting his mother after 6–7 years first thing son asks is his new name & next story. It would have worked only if that thread had been maintained throughout. Since the film had already shifted it didnt feel earned👎 Overall #BalanTheBoy is an okayish one time watch🤝 #Mohanlal #Mammootty
