A fire outbreak at the Akosombo Substation a while ago has caused a disruption in power generation. As a result, power supply has been affected in some parts of the country. A full evaluation is currently underway to determine the extent of the impact and to enable technical teams to commence processes to restore normal operations as swiftly as possible. I wish to sincerely apologise to the residents of Lakeside and its environs for the inconvenience caused. There have been multiple faults on cables connected to the feeder, one of which was located in the middle of a road. As a result, excavation works took some time to safely access and isolate the fault. Repair works are currently underway. Our technical team remains on site and will continue working until power supply is fully restored.

The mobile substation at Oyarifa is down due to the above accident. Areas affected: Teiman, Burger Town, Oyarifa, Ayi Mensah, Gravel Pit, Ashiye and surrounding areas. Arrangement is underway to transfer some of the affected areas. We sincerely apologise for any power interruption

The power outage that was experienced around Adenta, Pantang, Oyarifa, Abokobi, and surrounding areas was caused by the collapse of a radio station mast onto the 33kV Express Feeder and the 11kV Oyarifa Feeder. The technical team has since repaired the damage, and supply has been restored. We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
