Canadians should be alarmed by Pierre Poilievre choosing to ignore foreign interference in his own Conservative party and our country. All of his excuses have been dismissed by non-partisan national security experts, so if he has nothing to hide, what is he afraid of? Why won’t he get his security clearances? Pierre Poilievre needs to: Get the clearance. Take the briefing. Protect the country. It’s that simple.

Canada has what the world wants and we are building momentum. Our non U.S. exports have increased by 17%, or $33 billion, in the past year. Canadian businesses already benefit from preferential access to 1.5 billion consumers worldwide, and we are working to double that reach in the next six months through new trade agreements. By diversifying our trading relationships and creating new opportunities for Canadian businesses and workers, we are setting our own course to build Canada Strong.

Canadian businesses already benefit from preferential access to 1.5 billion consumers worldwide, and we are working to double that reach in the next six months through new trade agreements. China makes some of those most advanced electric vehicles in the world, and ensuring Canadians have access to affordable EVs means working with global partners. That’s why I met with some of the largest EV manufacturers like BYD, XPeng and Aion in Guangzhou to discuss collaboration and investment in Canada’s leading automotive sector and utilizing the Canadian supply chains to build the very cars in Canada. We are working diligently so that Canadians have better options when it comes to affordable electric vehicles.

This represents billions of dollars in agricultural exports and thousands of Canadian jobs supported through trade, including: ➡️ 75,000+ jobs in seafood ➡️ 250,000+ jobs in canola ➡️ 350,000+ jobs in beef New doors opened for farmers and harvesters from coast to coast.
