We are reinforcing the foundations of the True North, strong and free. Our new Defence Industrial Strategy will increase exports of Canadian made goods by 50% and create 125,000 new jobs for Canadian workers. With 80 international delegations at CANSEC in Ottawa, the message is clear. The world is looking to Canadian products and expertise, and Canada’s defence sector is ready to compete, grow, and deliver for our sovereignty, our security, and our economy.

China makes some of those most advanced electric vehicles in the world, and ensuring Canadians have access to affordable EVs means working with global partners. That’s why I met with some of the largest EV manufacturers like BYD, XPeng and Aion in Guangzhou to discuss collaboration and investment in Canada’s leading automotive sector and utilizing the Canadian supply chains to build the very cars in Canada. We are working diligently so that Canadians have better options when it comes to affordable electric vehicles.

Canadians should be alarmed by Pierre Poilievre choosing to ignore foreign interference in his own Conservative party and our country. All of his excuses have been dismissed by non-partisan national security experts, so if he has nothing to hide, what is he afraid of? Why won’t he get his security clearances? Pierre Poilievre needs to: Get the clearance. Take the briefing. Protect the country. It’s that simple.

Strengthened bail reforms to help keep repeat violent offenders behind bars have been in place since January 2024 - they can’t be used effectively because the province of Ontario continues to underfund the system. ➡️Provincial courts are backed up ➡️Provincial jails are full and running at over capacity ➡️Provincially appointed JPs take these things into consideration during bail decisions The lack of resources provided by the provincial government in the province of Ontario is leading to violent offenders released on bail. Full stop.

Someone who is seasoned in economics, respected globally, and who many governments turned to in their time of need. During the 2008 economic crisis in Canada, Prime Minister Stephen Harper turned to this man; during England's trade troubles, they also turned to this man, and now Canada looks to this man to help stabilize our economy and protect our jobs.
