Stephen Kisilu, a deaf youth from Mukuru kwa Njenga, was shot in the right ear by a police officer from Villa Police Station. He doesn't understand sign language, compounding his vulnerability. We urge IPOA to swiftly investigate and ensure justice. #EndPoliceBrutality

She nearly lost her life in the hands of four uniformed police officers. Last Sunday at around 11:50 PM, Caroline Achieng — a single mother and bar attendant — was walking home from work with her 10-month-old baby when she encountered four police officers in uniform at the Lunga Lunga bridge. They were heavily armed and stopped her, demanding to know where she was coming from. Caroline politely explained that she was heading home from work. Without warning or provocation, the officers violently assaulted her. She was left with serious injuries on her head, legs, arms, and back — she can barely walk. Caroline later went to Mukuru kwa Ruben Police Station to report the attack. Shockingly, the OCS dismissed her, claiming the perpetrators were not police officers, but rather “criminals with guns who bought police uniforms from Gikomba.” This explanation is not only outrageous — it reflects a disturbing pattern of police impunity and a failure to protect victims. Caroline urgently needs medical attention. We are doing our best to support her with medical care. This is yet another clear case of police brutality. No mother should face such terror while trying to provide for her child. We demand justice for Caroline Achieng and accountability for those responsible.

A heavy contingent of masked and hooded police has been deployed at Villa Police Station to facilitate forced evictions in Mukuru Kwa Njenga, despite the existence of a valid court order stopping any such actions. This blatant disregard for the rule of law undermines justice, constitutionalism and the rights of affected communities. Court orders must be respected and security agencies should protect citizens, not violate their rights. We strongly condemn this action and call for immediate compliance with the court order and accountability for those involved. #RuleOfLaw #StopForcedEvictions #RespectCourtOrders #HumanRights #PoliceAccountability
