Happening Now: A delegation of Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) leaders from Kyegegwa District, led by the LCV Chairperson, Members of Parliament, the Mayor, and other district leaders, has arrived at the PLU Headquarters in Naguru ahead of a scheduled meeting with the General Secretary Hon. Twalla Fadil. The delegation is expected to discuss key issues related to mobilisation, organisational strengthening, and strategies for expanding the PLU agenda across Kyegegwa District. This is the second delegation from the Tooro Sub-region to visit the PLU Headquarters this week, following a successful engagement with leaders from Bunyangabu District. The regional engagement initiative is being spearheaded by Hon. Very saddened by the passing of Rajiv Ruparelia, son of Sudhir Ruparelia. Around 2:15 am, while I was returning from Entebbe, I witnessed the tragic scene at the Busabala flyover near Kibiri Junction. I was nearly involved in a similar accident myself. The construction of this junction is extremely dangerous, the contractors should be held accountable. During the daytime, there are no visible barriers, but strangely at night barriers are placed without any warning signs. This is misleading and dangerous, especially for those familiar with the road during daylight. The Uganda Police Fire Brigade responded promptly. The OC of Kibiri Police Post, ASP Mutoni Elinar, and ASP Asiimwe Colleb, OC Operations at Katwe Police Station, were both present at the scene. May Rajiv’s soul rest in eternal peace.🙏
