Special to Florida... a crocodile and a manatee sharing space! 🐊 This unlikely pair was spotted by an angler enjoying a day of fishing. While it may seem unusual, manatees safely share habitats with both crocodiles and alligators in Florida. As spring approaches, several species of wildlife become more active in the springtime. Manatees leave their winter habitats and travel the waterways along the Atlantic and Gulf coasts and other inland waters, increasing chances of close encounters with people, in water or by boat. Here are some key rules to remember this spring as manatees begin to migrate: 🚫 Look, but don’t touch!
