The ruling BNP has established a Special Committee on Constitutional Amendment. By doing this, they have completely betrayed the clear mandate given by the people in the referendum. Meaningful and lasting changes to the constitution and state structure are impossible without a Constitutional Reform Council. Instead of choosing this path, the BNP has pushed the nation into a deep political and constitutional crisis. We completely reject this deceptive Special Committee. Nearly 70 percent of the people gave their verdict in the referendum, and we respect their choice. we demand the immediate creation of a Constitutional Reform Council.

We are deeply concerned by recent developments in West Bengal, including reports of disenfranchisement, intimidation, and communal targeting of vulnerable communities. We urge the international community to uphold the rights, dignity, and security of all minorities and vulnerable populations in India. At the same time, we remain committed to acting responsibly in Bangladesh by ensuring the safety and security of Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists, and Christians alike. We aspire to demonstrate that Bangladesh can become the safest country for minorities in South Asia.

We never claimed the July uprising is greater than the Liberation War. Whether it is greater or lesser than the '90s movement is not the point. In the history of Bangladesh, July stands as a distinct, significant chapter, just as the Liberation War remains a monumental milestone. The Liberation War is the foundation of Bangladesh, and on that principle, we remain uncompromising.

Ahlan Sahlan, O Month of Ramadan. Assalamu Alaikum. To everyone at home and abroad, wherever you are, I extend my greetings on the holy month of Ramadan. The sacred month of Ramadan appears among us to purify our souls and to teach us the great lessons of sacrifice and piety (taqwa). However, in our country, every year Ramadan also becomes a season when some dishonest traders and syndicates hold ordinary people’s financial capacity hostage and engage in unethical profiteering. These unscrupulous business groups stockpile essential commodities throughout the year through syndicates, calculating how to push prices beyond the reach of working people during Ramadan and amass vast profits. During the holy month, such traders effectively blackmail both the public and the government by driving up the prices of oil, gas, sugar, chickpeas, flattened rice, and other essential goods to soaring levels. To ensure that the Muslims of Bangladesh can observe iftar, sehri, and other acts of worship without disruption, state institutions must guarantee uninterrupted electricity services. I call for both government and private initiatives to reduce gas prices for city residents. It is extremely important to ensure reliable gas and electricity services so that people do not face any hardship during the holy month of Ramadan. We must remember that ensuring service to the common people of the country is our sole commitment. Let us unite to uproot the entrenched business syndicates that exploit the holy month of Ramadan. In this struggle, our greatest strength is you, me, and all of us together.
