This young Palestinian woman didn’t just challenge the flawed "both sides" narrative at yesterday’s rally for Palestine in #Bath, she decimated it! 💥 I urge you to watch the entire video to the end; her speech is truly outstanding. ✊🇵🇸 “As comfortable as the “both sides” narrative is .. It simply does not apply in this situation. Both sides are not dedicating themselves to ethnic cleansing and genocide. Both sides do not benefit of the murder of children .. So, if you’re too afraid to take a stand, too uncomfortable , that’s fine - but don’t call yourself a pacifist, when you are a coward!” For further info on this and other campaigns visit: ⬇️ #FreePalestine #Gaza_Genocide

Zarah Sultana just announced on #LauraK that she'll put herself forward as Your Party’s parliamentary spokesperson. It’s not even a week since the democratic vote by members at our founding conference to bar MPs from that role. From her unauthorised membership drive using a cloned website that mis-led people and caused chaos, to the "nationalise the whole economy" gaffe, to overriding conference decisions - the pattern is clear: a total disregard for rules, substance, and member democracy required for responsibility, let alone leadership.

This young woman’s last speech went viral with more than a million views. Her speech in #Bath today is even more incredible: “Shame on everyone who stole their childhood. The weapons manufacturers, right here in the UK, who profit off their pain. The media who cloak each killing in the passive tense denying them respect even in death. The politicians who drop their kids at school then go to Parliament and debate whether 13,000 Palestinian children’s lives really warrant a ceasefire. Is really a genocide. Just this week the UK abstained from the UN ceasefire vote while my home of the United States single-handedly vetoed it. The selfishness, the cowardice, the racism, make us all furious at our representatives.” Everyone should hear her powerful words. I hope Stop the War Coalition and Palestine Solidarity Campaign will invite her to speak at one of their London rallies soon! #FreePalestine #WeAreNotNumbers ✊🇵🇸 Video credit to Alf Up A Tree 🙏

Yesterday in #Bath, legendary filmmaker Ken Loach spoke powerfully at the rally for Palestine, extending heartfelt thanks to Bath Campaigns Network for their “magnificent work in keeping the truth alive.” Ken reminded us: “The biggest weapon we have is solidarity.” He praised the bravery of young activists picketing arms factories supplying weapons to Israel, condemning the UK government for enabling apartheid. “If you are supplying weapons to people committing crimes, you are an accomplice to that crime.” Ken also called out pro-Israeli groups that smeared Jeremy Corbyn, labeling them apologists for war crimes. He described the devastation in Gaza: children maimed, families orphaned, and lives torn apart. “There will be a day of reckoning,” he declared, outlining essential demands: 1️⃣ Immediate and permanent ceasefire 2️⃣ Recognition of Palestine 3️⃣ War criminals and their accomplices standing trial in The Hague 4️⃣ Palestinians deciding their own future democratically 5️⃣ Justice and reparations for destruction and suffering “Without justice, there can be no peace.” #Gaza_Genocide #StopArmingIsrael

On Thursday, The Many held an open event in Cambridge. Free tickets. All members welcome. Questions from the floor. Yesterday, Zarah Sultana’s Grassroots Left slate held their Cambridge Launch - advertised as “Fighting for Maximum Member Democracy.” £5 a ticket. Your Party members who’d purchased tickets in advance were turned away at the door with no explanation and no refund, including Michael Mulquin, a candidate for the region on The Many team. A member asked Zarah directly why ticket holding members were being excluded. She said sorry. She said she didn’t think anyone should be excluded. She said she always answered questions - without answering any. She said her slate was committed to member democracy. She said she didn’t organise the event. Yet the event was advertised as the Grassroots Left Cambridge Launch, with her face on the poster. She didn’t intervene and ask for them to be let in. In November, Zarah boycotted the first day of conference because one member of her team was excluded. Media called. Press conference held. Yesterday? No boycott. No intervention. No solidarity with excluded members. Maximum member democracy - unless you disagree with Zara’s faction. Zarah Sultana MP

Just before Jeremy Corbyn’s Gaza Bill was finally allowed to be heard, he demanded an inquiry into UK arms sales to Israel. The government’s response? Evasion and refusal — as Palestinian lives hang in the balance. Shameful. Jeremy’s standing where others won’t. Watch 👇

Powerful scenes from #Bath’s #FreePalestine protest today. Hundreds attending a memorial procession, holding up placards saying 'remember their names' to honour the 13,000 innocent children slaughtered by Israel’s collective punishment of Palestinians in Gaza. Please honour them by amplifying their names: #WeAreNotNumbers 🇵🇸✊ Palestine Solidarity Campaign

1/2 ‘Starmer excels at one thing: being a grubby, cynical, craven politician, utterly subservient to the American empire and its interests in the oil-rich Middle East.’ Award-winning journalist Jonathan Cook pulls no punches at yesterday's rally for Palestine in Bath. Watch and share. #Gaza_Genocide #FreePalestine “For 13 months, Western governments have shown us who they are. They are indifferent to the mass murder of children in Gaza. In fact, the West supplies the weapons and intelligence to help Israel slaughter more Palestinian children. Western leaders seem fine too with an aid blockade denying food, water, and power to more than two million people, starving them. Our politicians and media call it self-defence. Similarly, the West has quietly consented to Israel’s war on the United Nations and its banning of UNRWA, the only refugee agency capable of feeding and caring for Gaza’s families. Western leaders have gradually resigned themselves to Israel’s systematic destruction of Gaza’s hospitals and medical centres, as well as the documented killing, torture, and kidnapping of medical workers. Western politicians and media have shrugged their shoulders as Israel has targeted more than 150 journalists in Gaza—the largest massacre of media workers in history. Israel prefers to carry out its crimes unobserved. Israel has carved up tiny Gaza into a northern and a southern zone and is terrorising 400,000 Palestinians out of the ruins of North Gaza into the ruins of South Gaza. They’re being herded into South Gaza—a so-called ‘safe zone’—only to be bombarded and starved nearly as intensely as in the north. The West has watched mutely as Israeli leaders have declared Palestinians in North Gaza will never be allowed back. They are being ethnically cleansed, as they were in 1948 during the Nakba. Day by day, Israel shrinks the space for Palestinians in what was, even before Israel’s genocide, one of the most overcrowded, besieged, attacked, and surveilled places on the planet. Israel is making a hell on earth for the Palestinians ever more hellish. And yet the West’s leaders have barely bothered to call for restraint. Even after 13 months of genocide, we are told this is a ‘necessary war against Hamas’. Even Israel’s aid blockade and starvation of Gaza’s population—an indisputable crime against humanity—is framed as an ‘awful humanitarian crisis’. Industrial-scale murder in Gaza, carried out with the supply of British weapons and intelligence, has become so routine that even the BBC barely bothers to report it anymore. Our protests are smeared as antisemitism. Like Israel, the West has stood on its head the very international legal order it developed after the Second World War to prevent a repeat of the Holocaust. As Israeli scholar Jeff Halper warned many years ago, sooner or later—likely sooner—Palestine’s fate will head our way. David Lammy, Britain’s Foreign Secretary, says not enough people in Gaza have died yet for us to call it a genocide, as though accountants and mathematicians are the ones to decide when crimes against humanity are being committed. In any case, Lammy knows that Gaza has been so utterly devastated that it now has no capacity to count its dead. He knows that, according to experts, Gaza’s death toll is more likely in the hundreds of thousands than the tens of thousands. Sir Keir Starmer, the British Prime Minister, spoke this week in the House of Commons to tell us two things: first, that any questioning of Israel’s conduct is improper unless it is preceded and overshadowed by condemnation of Hamas’s actions more than a year ago; and second, that, as an expert in human rights law, he can categorically say no genocide is taking place in Gaza.” Thread continued👇
