This cooler hack is one of those “why didn’t we always do it this way” things. Most of us dump a bag of ice in, throw the drinks on top, and spend the next three hours fishing through slush for a can that’s now floating sideways with a soggy label. In Texas heat that gets old fast. The fix is almost too simple: ice on the bottom, a cheap oven rack or grill grate right on top of the ice, then the drinks sit on the rack.
