Homeward bound. 🌎 Now that the NASA Artemis II crew has flown around the Moon, they are officially on their journey home. There is no deorbit burn for Artemis II – only slight trajectory correction burns – as the translunar injection burn that committed the crew to a lunar flyby also guaranteed their return home. While aboard, this crew will also see the launch of four astronauts around the Moon on Artemis II – a mission made possible due to countless dedicated team members and decades of research in low Earth orbit.

CHAPEA's 4-person crew just exited their home after 378 days. ✅ They simulated a Mars mission to help assess health and performance in relation to Mars-realistic resource limitations in isolation and confinement. The door is officially open and the mission is complete. Congrats CHAPEA Crew 1!

A meteor - nearly 6 feet in diameter and weighing about 7 tons - entered Earth’s atmosphere near Cleveland, Ohio, on March 17, 2026, creating a light show in the sky and the opportunity to find pieces of the space rock on Earth. The meteorites are suspected to be Eucrites, many of which come from the asteroid 4 Vesta. Watch to learn more about this fireball and how to find and care for meteorites! Learn more at
