General Bate and Woodmont Blvd. Images like this are super scary. Water in local creeks and streams can rise quickly. Do not drive across flooded roads. Turn around, don't drown.

If your power went out in the OHB area about 20 minutes ago, here's why. From the Nippers Corner cam.

Be super careful around trees and power lines right now. If you’re a safe distance away from stuff, it’s quite something to behold. We don’t get gradient winds like this often. High Wind Warning remains in effect until 6pm.

The HRRR had this morning's line bouncing off of Davidson county and not returning south until dark. I think it's just over performing its southward track for the moment. I doubt this soaks us all. 740am.

Floodwaters are moving thru local creeks at high speeds with surprising power. Do NOT allow your kids or anyone else near them. Super dangerous.

Roads in Franklin are mostly just wet. But as we've been saying, elevated surfaces will get slick first. Here's the camera at Mack Hatcher and Hwy 96. 835am.

Heavier rain than we've seen all day on the way. Could wind up being a soaker for everyone. No lightning now, but that could change. Have a rain plan just in case. Radar 1115am.

If you didn't get rain the last few days, the next 48hrs could fix that. Widespread showers and a few outright downpours possible most of the day and tomorrow. HRRR model predicts the heaviest cells today will stay south of I40. Severe weather isn't a concern but minor flooding in low lying areas is possible. Radar at 715am.

One part of our mission is to help improve weather science in middle Tennessee. We help the NWS by providing support on damage surveys. Here are images from two of last nights tornadoes. Knowing the ground truth of tornado damage makes us better for the next one.
