Have you visited the Monarch Butterflies yet? If not, you should soon! This was late afternoon yesterday at Lighthouse Field and it may be the most I’ve seen flying around! They were forming up clumps to protect themselves from the cold night ahead. This shows 2 clumps, but there were 5 or 6 big clumps

I’m at the wharf, here’s the wave conditions. It’s open with no visible damage, but understand from wharf workers that a couple of old pilings broke loose from the end where repairs are underway and a portion of a dock is now floating in the water

10:20 this morning at Hwy 9 and Hwy 35. Yes, that's real snow and it was coming down pretty good. If you decide to go up there this morning, use extreme caution on the roads and be careful where you pull over, I did see 2 stuck cars

The Monterey Bay is alive! This is from West Cliff above Cowells, but it appears anchovies are all along the coast right now. I also heard that the harbor turned on their aerators to prevent a die off in the harbor
