As Stig Stig A Kjos-Mathisen explains, a lot of stablecoins still don’t have full audits, which makes transparency hard to verify. USDM is built differently. A third-party oracle has read-only access to all four bank accounts holding the reserves - Sparebanken Norge, the Amundi USD Money Market Fund in Europe, and Moneta’s accounts at Western Asset and Fidelity. Balances are visible and updated continuously. USDM on Cardano And if anything ever moved without matching reserves, the Norwegian Financial Supervisory Authority would be at our door within three days.
