Last year I was determined to make a contribution to America's 250th Anniversary. This documentary, The Thread of Liberty: Keeping Our Republic, is what came of that desire. I've posted it here in its entirety, as well as at We have an incredible nation, the first ever rights-based government in the history of the world in which the people are sovereign. We should appreciate it and, more importantly, love it. But loving requires understanding and then restoring. There is a great deal to celebrate and there is also a great deal of work that lies before us if we're to restore the republic. One of the central questions for the future of the American Republic is do we still feel an obligation to our experiment in free government? I believe one of the places that we renew the obligation, and begin the restoration, is with a rebirth of instinctive patriotism. I sincerely hope this documentary plays a role in that rebirth. Keep America Free.

FULL LENGTH AMERICAN LEVIATHAN DOCUMENTARY. Why is it imperative that we dismantle the Administrative State now? Why must DOGE be successful? We are at a singular moment in American history where President Donald J. Trump, who has the moral and political courage necessary, can unmake the unConstitutional State and restore representative government to this country and end the rule of the bureaucrat. This documentary is to help you understand that the rule of the bureaucrat was always intended by the Progressive Statists for the last century. It is also to help you understand that the Administrative State is the enemy of the Republic and representative government. And while many Americans don't think they can play a role in ending this unConstitutional form of government, you absolutely can: once you are aware and awake, and demand your elected officials govern once again, and represent you, it is the beginning of the end of administrative power.

The full documentary, American Leviathan, is coming out on Monday. I think people will find it illuminating. The rule of the bureaucrat was always intended by the Progressives over the last century plus. Because of that we've had two very different forms of government in conflict with each other in this country: an Administrative State and a Constitutional Republic. For us to return to representative government in this country, the State must end and be shattered into a million pieces. Break the State. Drain the Swamp. Restore the Republic.

.Victor Davis Hanson makes the point in The Thread of Liberty that our form of tripartite government, with two political parties, with regular elections, required a great deal of sophistication to develop and almost doesn't exist anywhere else in the world. On the 250th anniversary of the free American Republic, we should be proud of what we've been given and then work to fully restore representative government.

Reposting this with actual video of JD re Israel. Pretty good explanation. I have the same feelings: they’re our ally, but they’re also a sovereign nation as we are also a sovereign nation. Where our interests align, we work together. Where they don’t, we go our separate ways.

One of the great American speeches of the 20th century was Calvin Coolidge's for the 150th anniversary in 1926: "There is something restful about the Declaration of the Independence." Wilfred McClay highlights it in The Thread of Liberty and then points out that Progressives are reactionaries. They want to go back to a time before 1776, a time that had nothing to do with consent of the governed or our Constitutional Republic.
