Lower State House Road has the least traffic. What justification is there in felling 50 years old ornamental trees to dual the road? Yesterday they deceived us that they are planting 15 billion trees. The day before, Kindiki Kithure was threatening a road contractor with Court action for delayed delivery. The point is this: there is no need for some of these road constructions which require wanton destruction of trees. It is an elaborate scheme to plunder public money at the expense of the environment.

This is the junction of Prof Wangari Maathai Road and Parklands Road. Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) excavated an existing storm water drainage and pedestrian walkway to accommodate a Drive In exit at KFC. For months, the poorly undertaken works have remained incomplete and the site has eventually been abandoned. There many things wrong with the agencies in charge of roads in Kenya.

The road construction menace in Kenya will not be remedied unless planners and engineers do their work properly. The pedestrian walkway that was completed in cabro has now been excavated into a pit. What exactly is the plan for the University Way -Waiyaki Way pedestrian walkway?

I had never understood why this “chuma” is on Kyuna Road. Steve tells me that it is for preventing Dumtwafs and Lorries from entering to disturb the quietness and tranquility of Kyuna and Loresho. It was erected by Simon Nyachae. I think we need more of them in many more residences in Nairobi.

This is a night raid at the home of Desmond Shivachi in Kitale by a contingent of heavily armed police officers. After the raid, the Police summoned Shivachi to appear today for questioning on investigations relating to organized crimes. There has to be an end to this abuse of power by the CS Interior.

I took my younger brother Victor Olao to the livestock market in Ntulele where we acquired several cows and goats for our ranches. To the 10 Youthful Advocates, put your money in land and livestock. Do not waste it in Mercedes, Range Rover and VX while paying rent in apartments.

I joined the residents of Shanzu and Kyuna in Kitisuru to inquire into the wanton felling of trees and the construction of a commercial spar and related facilities on plot No 48. The project is being undertaken by a Cabinet Secretary. The Kenya Forest Service, the National Environmental Management Authority, the Nairobi City County Government and the National Construction Authority ought to immediately stop this illegal project.

This is today at the junction of Prof Wangari Maathai Road and Parklands Road. Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) is acting on the concerns highlighted yesterday. The vijana wa mjengo on site indicate that the works will be completed before December, 2026. This is how not serious individuals in the Government of Kenya treat their work. My Engineer, Francis Makambo from Nangili would have completed this project in one week with atmost dexterity but it is not yet our time to eat. I will be here regularly to monitor this agency that cannot work without strict supervision. #LazimaWaWork

The student continues to work under strict supervision. The open manholes at the junction of Prof Wangari Maathai Road and Parklands Road have now been sealed. The debris is being cleared, and moulding boards being removed from the site. There is more debris at the end of the site which Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) should ensure is cleared and the works completed within a reasonable time. As I said yesterday, the problem is legal compliance and enforcement which we the People can take over and perform.

This is Ojijo Road. Excavation is underway, destroying the existing elaborate storm water drainage and pedestrian walkway. Does anyone know what the works are? I do not know. Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) owes us a duty to display the signboard of the project so that we can query the propriety of the same. For now, we can only conclude that this is a scheme to steal public funds because there is no problem on Ojijo Road requiring repairs.

Let Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) and Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) use Ngong Road as a model for all future road constructions and repairs. See the elaborate cyclist lane, the efficient storm water drain, and the effective pedestrian walkway. How difficult is to achieve such a simple concept? Fundamentally, let NTSA KENYA enforce traffic rules by penalizing motorists and motorcyclists who use and destroy the pedestrian walkway.

Another road construction mayhem underway on Ojijo Road. The current pedestrian walkway and storm water drainage are of fair quality by local standards. Why is the pedestrian walkway and storm water drainage being excavated? Further, why not display the board indicating the works being undertaken, identifying the contractor, the award of the contract amongst other details necessary to enable the public verify the viability and legality of the works?

You never understand a woman until to raise one. This one (named after my mother) asked that we oil her hair as I tell her what I will do for her generation if she votes for me. I remember the last time I oiled hair was for my mother. I must have been 10 years old and her 30 years young.
