The contract was agreed upon in December 2025 for a total sum of 160 million. Prior to finalization, NextGen provided comprehensive project documentation, which underwent thorough legal review by the client. The finalized agreement explicitly outlines the scope of work; notably, flooring, fencing, and gate installations were excluded, and all stipulated obligations have been fulfilled. NextGen has received 144 million in total, disbursed in three installments which were paid in completion of certain stages respectively, representing 90% of the contract value. The remaining 10% (16 million) is scheduled for payment three months after the completion of the project handover date. Regarding the quantity surveyor’s assessment, the analysis was incomplete, leading to the omission of several line items and inaccurate labor cost projections. The extension of the project timeline from six to nine months was due to external factors beyond NextGen's control, specifically severe weather conditions in Port Harcourt and poor road infrastructure, which hindered logistical operations. Documentation, impact on material delivery costs and schedules. Since the contract's inception, material costs have increased significantly between December 2025 to October2026. Plumbing, cement, electrical and finishing materials saw at least a 5% increase per unit. Although the contract stipulates that price fluctuations would be reflected in the total cost and a considerable agreed amount will be added, the client failed to address our notification regarding these adjustments in April and we proceeded in good faith. Additionally, the client’s selection of high-end features directly contributed to increased project expenditures. The allegations concerning "project non-completion" are unsubstantiated and contradicted by project documentation. The claim of being "scammed" is particularly concerning, especially given that the project commenced shortly after the first payment. NextGen’s consistent presence and progress on-site are clear evidence of our commitment to delivering the project as agreed which we have as of 10th October 2026...
