Wild move from Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner. Krasner was supposed to hold a press conference today… Instead, he released this video accusing a Philadelphia police officer and homicide detective of misconduct that allegedly allowed Eric Lewis to walk free after being acquitted of a 2019 road-rage murder. That same Eric Lewis is now charged with murdering Philadelphia Police Officer Shane Seiber. But here’s where it gets interesting… Larry Krasner himself was recently referred to federal prosecutors by a federal judge for potential crimes, including PERJURY and OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE. That referral came after testimony from prosecutors in Krasner’s OWN office. And now Krasner is publicly accusing other law enforcement officials of potentially criminal conduct? Deflect. Blame. Deflect. It’s the classic Krasner playbook. Make accusations. Blame somebody else. Control the narrative. Avoid accountability. And instead of standing in front of reporters today and answering questions about BOTH the Eric Lewis case and the serious allegations against himself, Krasner chose to release a video. No questions. No follow-ups. No accountability. And we can probably predict what comes next. Another Krasner press conference on an entirely different subject, probably with victims’ families standing alongside him, where he refuses to answer questions about anything else. When is the Philadelphia media going to say ENOUGH IS ENOUGH? Ralph Cipriano has consistently pressed Krasner with difficult questions. Where is the rest of the Philadelphia press corps? These are not minor issues. A Philadelphia police officer has been murdered. A defendant previously acquitted of murder is now charged with killing him. And Philadelphia’s top prosecutor has himself been referred for a potential federal criminal investigation. The public deserves answers. Not prerecorded videos and finger-pointing. If DA Krasner believes police officers engaged in criminal misconduct that contributed to a murder suspect going free, why is he announcing it in a video instead of taking questions and explaining what his office is doing about it? How is Larry Krasner still the District Attorney of Philadelphia?

Philadelphia Sheriff Rochelle Bilal collaborated on this Instagram video through the official Philadelphia Sheriff’s Office account. The audio includes lyrics about getting “geeked,” drinking a whole bottle, drug use/mixing, and sexual innuendo. This is completely inappropriate content for an official law-enforcement account. “It took me back to high school…” Philadelphia City Councilmember Cindy Bass rides the L for the first time since high school? 🤔 Another Councilmember too fly for SEPTA? SEPTA is not an after school club… it’s a lifeline for people to get to work It’s just sad that elected officials have to make themselves “less than” or small when they take public transit. Additionally, CM Bass has not supported density around SEPTA stations in her District… which goes AGAINST supporting SEPTA. If elected officials say they support SEPTA… then they HAVE to support density around the stations and transit corridors to continue to increase ridership and utilization of the system. Glad that CM Bass supports getting SEPTA funded but maybe ride it on a more frequent basis to see what your constituents and riders deal with day in and day out. Ride the ride. Fund SEPTA.

Ban them. All electric things, bikes, scooters, one-wheels… should be banned from the Schuylkill River Trail & ALL public trails. They are dangerous and somebody is going to get hurt. Same with e-bikes on sidewalks & going the wrong way down streets... Very dangerous.
