NHAI has established a Gaushala named “Gokuldham,” near Tunnel No. 4 at Malyawar on the Kiratpur–Manali corridor in #HimachalPradesh. Under this initiative, stray cattle found roaming along the four-lane National Highway will be rescued and sheltered at the facility, helping reduce road accidents involving animals. The Gaushala can accommodate around 100 cattle at a time, with proper arrangements for their food and care. A veterinary doctor has also been provided to ensure timely treatment of cattle injured in road accidents.
