.Congresswoman Sara Jacobs presses on the bombings of schools in Iran during the war, with Adm. Cooper suggesting that only 1 of 39 schools bombed in Iran involved U.S. munitions, the 1 being Minab. If true, this would suggest that Israel was responsible for the bombings that left 38 schools in ruins, as noted in a recent New York Times article. Rep. Jacobs also received assurance from Admiral Cooper that the Minab investigation is nearing a conclusion and will be released to the public. This pressure on apparent war crimes is vitally important. It is critical for the Pentagon to be fully transparent and work to ensure such crimes are never repeated.

This is no longer online harassment. It is a domestic political violence and civil liberties issue, demonstrating how geopolitical extremism and disinformation are translating into real-world threats against Iranian Americans. We urge political leaders, media institutions, and civil society to condemn these attacks clearly and to take seriously the growing threat environment facing the Iranian American community.
