Recent clip from the Italian Navy partaking in a exercise for “Mediterraneo Sicuro”. Rare look at the cannon loading area for the OTO 76mm and some neat shots of the OTO 76mm cannon in action.

The OTO TM-197B turret installed on the A-129 Delta. This same cannon will also be mounted on the AW-249 Fenice, although Leonardo is developing a ITAR free version of the 20mm cannon so maybe in the future we’ll also see that installed on the Fenice.

C2 Ariete and a rare look at the upgraded engine that is installed. Thanks to the upgrades, the engine is going from 1250hp to 1500hp.

🇮🇹🇺🇦 Italian donated VBL Puma in service with Ukraine, this example here has been modified quite a bit with some cage armor and displays for the driver.

🇮🇹🇺🇦 Follow up from yesterday’s post, Italian Army VCC-1’s and M548’s recently were spotted being transported via rail. Note that these have not been in service for decades, some VCC-1’s still retain some add-on armor. These will make their way to Ukraine in the upcoming weeks.

A new variant of the IDV Viking being tested by the Italian Army was showcased at the NATO Force-X Central Mediterranean Industry Day. This variant here is equipped with the Janus D-L optical sight from Leonardo and the DroneSentry-X Mk2 from Droneshield.

First production Italian KF-41 Lynx/A2CS has arrived in Italy! 4 more should be arriving soon, these are all going to be in the standard Hungarian Army configuration. Next year, Leonardo will begin to modify the next batches by integrating Italian turrets unto the Lynx platform.

New promotional video of the HITFIST 30UL by Leonardo, looks like the turret has finally reached the prototype stage, this turret is meant for amphibious platforms and other lightweight vehicles. The IDV SuperAV is the first platform the HITFIST 30 UL will be installed on.

Italian B1 Centauro da 120 at IDEX 2005, this version of the B1 Centauro was initially a test vehicle by OTO Melara. Eventually it would be market and would enter service with the Royal Gaurd of Oman. The turret was also tested on some tracked and wheeled platforms.
