For now a third year in a row, graduation ceremonies at The University of Edinburgh are being hijacked by ‘pro Palestinians’. You have to wonder what they are being taught. One parent wrote to me: ‘It was an absolutely disgusting disgrace. ‘Student after student got up to get their degree in a keffiyah and then unfurled a piece of cloth with the sort of shit you would expect from braindead privileged wokesters who have been spoonfed Jew hate. ‘And then at the end just after the student speech all the morons got up and were allowed to protest and march out of the hall waving their pieces of benighted cloth covered in blood libels. ‘I am beyond incandescent at what I was made to sit through. I don't think I have ever been made to feel so othered at a public event before in my life. ‘That’s our only child's only graduation. Ruined.’

When Richard Dimbleby was the first to report from the newly liberated Belsen Concentration Camp, his BBC bosses demanded he take out references to the huge majority of skeletal survivors there being Jews. There are some people who think that if Jews hide, make ourselves smaller, perhaps there will be less antisemitism. Perhaps if we don’t fight back, don’t speak up, stop moaning, make ourselves smaller, that will work…even though it never has before. So I’m pleased people fought back in Edgware (a special place where I spent the first 10 years of my life and where I was at a school reunion today). I’m pleased the antisemites were outnumbered in the battle of Edgware, that they were forced to retreat even as they vowed revenge and ‘Zionists we will be back!’ This was a victory but there is no sense of joy. They have made life so uncomfortable here that many are making plans to move to Israel, including my friends. Now they tried to stop an event showing property in Israel. They don’t want us here, they don’t want us there… But today they tried to bring the fight to our doorstep and we said: ‘No Pasaran! They shall not pass!’

This is the moment when Israeli Arab Yoseph Haddad was thrown out of the Oxford Union after people stamped on the photo of Israeli Arabs who are being held hostage. This is what he writes: ‘I’ll tell you more about what happened at Oxford when I confronted these liars and I’ll also upload clips from my speech there, but one thing I can say for sure - Oxford has been taken over by terror supporters. 90% of the participants are clearly anti-Israel propagandists who admire Nasrallah and Sinwar and believe Israel has no right to exist. I endured curses, boos, and threats during the confrontation, but there was one thing I was not willing to endure: the humiliation of our hostages. I demanded that they be removed and I refused to continue the discussion, even when the anti-Israel chairman, who actually took part in the confrontation himself, warned me and finally decided to have me removed from the venue. In front of the hostile terrorist-supporting audience, just before I left the hall, I did one last thing - over my official tuxedo, I wore a T-shirt that I had brought. It has a picture of Nasrallah with a large X over it and the caption "Your ‘heroic’ terrorist is dead, we killed him" 🇮🇱✌🏻’

The video on the left (now with blurred out face) is of a Jewish man walking his dog who, enraged at the awful chants coming from the pro Hamas lot, gave them the finger. As you can see, he was pushed away by police and warned that if he didn’t leave he’d face arrest. The video on the right shows someone in the pro Hamas group, giving a Jewish person the finger in front of a police officer who did nothing. The two tier element couldn’t be starker. For more than year British Jews have had to put up with this light policing of groups of people who are not shy about expressing their support of the aims of Hamas. This is emboldening and radicalising people. It puts us all in danger. Being antisemitic and hateful towards British Jews will do nothing to help the people of Gaza.

When you freely allow antisemitism to run rampage, don’t be surprised when violence and racist criminality follows. The Hatzolah ambulances cover the whole of Barnet (and are for anyone) and other areas, and work closely with the overstretched London Ambulance Service. They were there to help as my dad died a few weeks ago, trying to get his heart started again. This hits hard as we don’t know where it ends.

So the The Church of England Synod has failed to decide whether or not to pass an antisemitic motion: they ran out of time tonight and they will have to decide whether to debate it again at their next synod. Some good debate, many church figures recognising the motion as it stands is pure antisemitism but you’ll see in the first clip that some Bishops - as well as other members of the clergy - are fine with that. The second clip is from the excellent Dr Ian Paul who has also written a brilliant blog on the Archbishop of Canterbury’s recent trip to Israel where she appears to have met with some questionable people.

The cafe was once subject to a horrendous bomb attack claimed by Hamas which was carried out by two British born Pakistani heritage men. Three innocents in the bar were killed and 50 others were injured in the 2003 Second Intifada attack.

Golders Green is traditionally a Jewish area in North London but many Iranians live there too.
