This is how Kabuganda, a relative of Museveni, treated me today dragged out of a peaceful campaign like a criminal. I came in peace, with only my voice and message. Is this the democracy we’re promised? Uganda deserves better. #StopTheViolence #PeoplePower

I’ve seen the video making rounds suggesting I endorsed another candidate outside our NUP Kampala structure. I want to make it clear I fully support our SG David Lewis Rubongoya. I stand with NUP Kampala and the values we fight for. Apologies for any confusion. #ProtestVote2026

In the end we remember the words of our enemies. But the silence of our friends.

Denied entry into a public court for hours. Let that sink in. Locked out of justice like it is a private club, not a constitutional right. And when we finally got in, the same system had the audacity to hide behind a broken Zoom connection, refusing to even produce people physically. A whole court reduced to buffering screens and excuses. This is not justice. This is a disgrace. A weak, failing system exposing itself in broad daylight. Ugandans are not fools, and we will not be silent in the face of this shame.

Listen to the audio and judge for yourself. This was never an election. It was intimidation dressed up as democracy. The same Kisakya Mukama who moved with guns during campaigns, threatening people for simply supporting me, is now exposed in an audio that shows how votes were treated like property to be shared out. Leadership is not fear. Leadership is not coercion. When people are bullied into silence and outcomes are arranged in advance, the process stops being a choice of the people and becomes a performance for power. Ugandans are watching. History will remember who stood for the truth and who tried to force it into submission. Today at Rubaga Cathedral, we came with peaceful hearts, ready to pray for Kizza Besigye and all political prisoners. Instead, we were told we could not gather. We were denied even the simple right to kneel and speak to God. When prayer becomes a threat, you begin to understand how afraid those in power truly are. No permission was granted, but our faith does not depend on signatures. Our prayers do not need clearance. They rise anyway. I also want to sincerely thank Winnie Kiiza for the kind and generous words she shared about me and my presence at the church. Your strength, grace, and encouragement mean more than you know. In moments like this, solidarity matters. They may block the mass, but they cannot silence conviction. They may close doors, but they cannot close hearts. Uganda will pray. Uganda will rise.
