When you call 911 to report a crime, you shouldn’t be put on hold. Many Angelenos don’t trust official crime statistics, because when responses are slow, crimes don’t get reported. On council, I’ve voted against contracts and projects pushed by powerful interests that have bankrupted the city and taken money away from basic city services.
