I was with Nnamdi Kanu at sokoto correctional prison, I went to see him about two weeks ago. We had a length conversation for like two hours, of course you know I have disagreed with him in the past, but I don’t think it’s justifiable for him to have been jailed. ~ Barr Deji ~

Look at the bright mind they threw into prison and thought that was the end. They believed that by locking him behind bars, they could imprison an idea and silence a people. What a mistake. An Igbo man knows that truth does not die because a man is jailed. Truth does not fear prison. Truth does not bow to intimidation. No chains, no courtroom, no prison walls can hold the truth forever. Mazi Nnamdi Kanu may be behind bars, but the message he represents continues to echo across the world. You can detain a man, but you cannot imprison the truth.
