Palestine is a historical term for a region that has encompassed many territories — originally named by the Romans in 135 AD, when they renamed Judea in an attempt to sever the Jewish connection to the land. Across the centuries, the land was ruled by empire after empire, yet no sovereign country called Palestine ever existed. Today marks the beginning of Pride Month 🏳️🌈 Emily Damari (Emily Damari) talks about her time as a hostage in Gaza. While there, Emily asked her Hamas captor what he would do if gay people came to Gaza. His answer was he would kill them. And yet “Queers for Palestine” continue to protest in support of Hamas, the very people who want to murder them. It doesn’t matter if they’re from Columbia University or family members from Gaza, Hamas would kill them all the same. LGBTQ+ people are in danger throughout the Middle East. Sharia law criminalizes their very existence. Under Hamas, being gay is a death sentence. It’s time for people in the West to wake up to this fact. If you support LGBTQ+ people, you cannot support Hamas.

Tonight the Grammys were hijacked in favor of Hamas agenda, as singer Annie Lennox called for a ceasefire, denying Israel's right to defend itself, and also not calling for the release of the hostages. So basically giving Hamas exactly what they wanted. You know, I think that next time a singer wants to do something that's good for humanity, they should probably call on the release of innocent women, and a baby, and a toddler from the hands of a genocidal terrorist organization. I think that's probably a good idea.

HOW DARE YOU Greta Thunberg. How DARE you call for ethnically cleansing the Jewish people from our ancestral land?? You know nothing. No history, no reality, no truth. So I have this to say to you. Israel is not a colonialist state – it’s a refugee state which was literally decolonized from Britain. The majority of Israeli Jews are people of color, whose families were ethnically cleansed from other parts of the Middle East. Throughout history, the only indigenous sovereign entities to exist in the land have been Jewish states. Jews originate from the land, derive our religion and our practices from it and despite centuries of exile and displacement have always kept an unbroken presence there. And you Greta Thunberg, are chanting “crush Zionism” on the streets of Sweden. Zionism is the Jewish people exercising our right to self-determination in some parts of our only historic, ancestral and indigenous homeland. Hamas showed us on October 7 what “crushing Zionism” looks like and you want to cheer that on Greta? Greta Thunberg, if I can borrow your famous phrase, “how dare you!” But this is how antisemitism works – Find what is most evil to you, and blame it on the Jews, or today - on the Jewish state. I can understand that younger generations in western societies feel guilty about the evils of colonialism. But Israel’s history is not your history, and whatever guilt you feel, supporting the massacre of Jews in their ancestral land will not wash away the sins of your fathers. When your ancestors were colonizing the world, my ancestors were being slaughtered by Cossacks. We were dreaming – next year in Jerusalem – of building a life raft in our homeland. We fled genocidal violence in Europe. We were ethnically cleansed from Arab countries all over the Middle East. And we built a liberal, democratic Jewish state. That is not a colonial enterprise. Zionism is not a colonial enterprise – Zionism is the decolonization movement of the Jewish people. And to anyone who cannot accept our presence or who slanders Israel as something it is not, we are here to say: “how dare you.”

This is the most challenging speech I’ve ever delivered, but it’s time the world wakes up to what the Jewish community has been saying all along. What we experienced on and since October 7 was sadly, predictable. We’ve warned of the danger of radical Islam or, more accurately, the radical Islamic Nazism that is constantly lurking at Israel’s borders. And we’ve warned of the ongoing grooming of Western civilization – through universities, the media, and social media. We warned what the phrase “from the river to the sea Palestine will be free” really looks like. It means “itbach al Yahud” – “slaughter the Jews.” This demonization of Israel is not “progressive”, it’s not peaceful and it absolutely won’t Free Palestine. It is a modern-day blood libel calculated to incite, pave the way for, and then justify - a genocide. We’ve seen it for over three and a half thousand years of Jewish “lived experience”. It’s the generational trauma that is in our bones. We understand it. That, is our “Jewish privilege.” We knew where it would lead, and we are devastated to be proven right. Israel is one of the greatest stories ever told and its vilification is one of the greatest smear campaigns in the history of the world. But we have news for you: when we say Never Again, we mean it. When you tell us you want to kill us, we believe you. And when you set out to do it in the most horrific of ways, we will defeat you. We stand shoulder to shoulder with the families of Israelis and Americans held hostage by the Hamas terrorists and demand they return the hostages now! Bring them home! Above all I am grateful that for the generations to come, the Jewish people will still live, love, and thrive and reach out a hand to the world.
