The students, who are enrolled at Dyal Singh College under Delhi University, were reportedly on their way to drop off friends when an argument broke out after locals made racial slurs. The students protested the offensive remarks, which led to a heated exchange and eventually a physical confrontation. A group of locals ganged up on the students, leaving them injured. They were later taken to the hospital, where medical tests, including a CT scan, were conducted. Barka posted a video on social media, revealing he had been struck on the head, causing bleeding, and called on the Arunachal Pradesh government for intervention.
