ICE convoy with Greg Bovino just got run out of a gas station in south Minneapolis, one of the agents intentionally tried to swing open his car door and hit me with it on the way out.

The lot with the old Victoria’s Secret store in Uptown has lost 50% of its value since it went vacant in 2018. During that same time period an empty office building a block away was torn down and turned into apartments, it’s now worth 1,000% more. The problem isn’t with Uptown.

Every vacant urban mall should be demolished and replaced with housing like what Seven Points is doing in Minneapolis right now. Rather than hold out for a corporate retail model that’s never coming back, we should embrace Uptown as a residential neighborhood.

This is Wrecktangle Pizza’s location at Lake &amp; Lyndale. ICE tried to raid them a few weeks ago because they were fundraising for immigrant neighbors in need. The attempted raid didn’t go well for ICE and the tear gas they deployed got kicked right back under their SUV.

Becka doesn’t know what she’s talking about. I live a block from there, and did this same walk a few months ago. The issue is mainly big corporate retail stores leaving and the footprint they used being too big for anything else. Go a few blocks in any direction and it’s full.

ICE just emptied a clip on a guy while he was already laying on the ground. This was an execution in the middle of the street. Our local government isn’t protecting us from this federal invasion. There’s nobody coming to save Minneapolis. This is insane.
