From Ep.1, we know that Khanin was openly queer, with a dating history through the iconic ‘He is your type’ comment by his friend Samantha. As for Charan, given the Emmalian traditions about the kiss and his own brick-wall personality, it’s safe to headcanon that Vettis had his gaydar on high alert for years and was just waiting for Charan to drop the confirmation via boyfriend reveal. And finally his dream came true even if for a few seconds there 😆 Boy was like ‘Finally my best friend got the boyfie he deserves.’ THE NEXT PRINCE EPISODE2 #TheNextPrinceEP2 #ZeeNuNew

The King is so blinded by his own narcissism that he doesn’t even realize when his servant lies to his face. He may see himself as a master manipulator, but ironically, he’s easily deceived, a clear reflection of how power and ego can cloud judgment. What makes it even more compelling is that there’s another character in the series who’s been skillfully flattering this narcissist! ROYAL ROUND ONE #TheNextPrinceEP11

This is why those of us who have been following ZeeNuNew from the very beginning often say that Zee has played a pivotal role in NuNew’s journey toward confidence and self-discovery. You have to understand, these two started working together when NuNew was just 19, a very shy young man, paired with Zee, an actor who already had an established following. From the very start, Zee naturally stepped into the role of a mentor, guiding NuNew with patience, care, and unwavering support. Their relationship was never driven by self-interest but by mutual respect, love and deep admiration for each other. And you don’t have to take my word for it, just look back at those very early days when, with tears in their eyes, they openly shared how they were able to keep going because they had each other. Zee ensured that their success was built on shared growth rather than individualism, continuously uplifting NuNew, encouraging him to embrace his true self, and giving him the safe space to evolve. This was especially crucial for someone as introverted as NuNew. Anyone who is an introvert understands just how important a safe and supportive environment is for them to feel comfortable enough to express themselves freely. In turn, NuNew provided Zee with sincere care, emotional support, and a quiet but steady presence that grounded him. Even now, as NuNew has carved out a very strong name for himself, that support hasn’t wavered. The beauty of their dynamic is that NuNew now gives that same unwavering support back to Zee, just as generously. Whether it’s through collaborations with Zee’s brand or their musical projects, an area where NuNew truly shines, he continuously creates space for Zee as well, ensuring that this remains a shared journey. What makes this even more special is how rare it is in an industry where success often gets to people’s heads, leading them to become greedy and self-serving. More often than not, once someone rises to the top, they focus solely on their own achievements, forgetting those who stood by them. But with Zee and NuNew, it has never been about taking credit or outshining one another. Instead, they recognize and respect the invaluable roles they have played in each other's journey. Their bond is a testament to the power of genuine support, love, shared growth, and an unshakable commitment to lifting each other up. And that’s what truly sets them apart. #ZeeNuNew #NuNew #ZeePruk

This is scene is extremely important. The parallels that the series draws between Thatdanai and Charan are pivotal. Here more than ever we see that Thatdanai is far more than a supporting figure in the narrative, he is, in many ways, the emotional and thematic backbone of the series. His presence is essential not just for the development of Khanin as a character, but for the deeper philosophical undercurrents of the story itself. Thatdanai embodies the fusion of duty and love, demonstrating that the two need not be mutually exclusive, and through this, he becomes a profound emotional and moral compass that will inform the relationship between Khanin and Charan. As Khanin’s guardian, mentor, and emotional anchor, Thatdanai doesn’t merely protect the young prince, he raises him with a profound understanding of empathy, paternal love, integrity, and responsibility. His guidance is not mechanical or obligatory; it is suffused with affection and unwavering loyalty, creating one of the most intimate and formative relationships in Khanin's life as discussed in my psychological analysis of Khanin from episode 1. Thatdanai gives the prince the tools to grow not just into a ruler, but into a human being capable of balancing strength with sensitivity. I Narratively, Thatdanai’s role becomes even more compelling when seen as a foil or parallel to Charan. Where Charan is haunted by the compartmentalisation of duty and emotion, Thatdanai lives at their intersection. He serves out of love, and loves through his service. This contrast does not merely deepen the complexity of Charan’s character arc, it reframes it. For Charan subconsciously, Thatdanai represents a lived example of what could be: a life where devotion does not require the erasure of self or feeling. He recognises that as clearly demonstrated in this scene and that is very important. There is a layered, almost subconscious mirroring happening in scenes where Charan witnesses the relationship between Thatdanai and Khanin. It is the first time Charan truly sees, that love and duty are not inherently in conflict. Same goes for Khanin. This quiet revelation becomes a pivotal emotional fulcrum, nudging Charan toward transformation, or at the very least, toward introspection. Thatdanai is narrative necessity incarnate, not in just in a functional sense, but in an emotional and philosophical one. His presence allows the story to explore its most tender and fraught questions: Can duty hold love without destroying it? In the end, Thatdanai is not simply a guardian to a prince, he is the embodiment of a possibility. Through him, both Khanin and Charan are confronted with a world where care is not weakness, where duty is not cold, and where love is not a distraction but a guiding light.
