After last year, we’d be hypocrites to say we enjoy watching him repeat the same words 3 times a day. But in this case it might be reassuring for those cautious that no one’s followed him up yet. 😅 🗣️ “#nufc have their new midfielder. Man City have already given Nico permission to completely a medical. Everything is agreed.” Looks like some outlets are just waiting for every bit of paperwork to be done, whereas he’s went on the verbal agreement. Would be surprised if he doesn’t have Jorge Mendes in his hear constantly, so think people should relax on this one.

Totally contradicts what Keith Downie said about it. One of the most annoying things about transfers in the modern game is people at different clubs putting out different information to suit their narrative. Makes it impossible to know what the accurate situation is. #nufc

Gary Neville praised #nufc on yesterday’s The Overlap, saying that he believes they’re “one of the best teams in the league and should be higher than they are”. He did, however, highlight the issue of the wingers not getting close enough to the striker. Thoughts? 🤔

The clip of Howe clashing with Lee Ryder… My personal opinion is that I’d have preferred this question to be asked after the Man United defeat, when we had nothing to lose and plenty of fans would’ve liked to see the Plan B of Woltemade and Wissa on the pitch together — even though that would’ve had knock-on effects for load management. In this situation, though, he’s hardly going to utilise that when we’re in front, and Wissa can’t play a full 90 anyway. So I think the whole idea of a “Plan B” is a cliche that doesn’t really make sense in this context when referring to substitutions. There’s obviously issues controlling games however, especially away from home, and that’s a flaw within plan A. But he’s right that all the stats were in our favour, even though much of the second half was a hard watch due to that lack of control. #nufc

You never know when you go to a know club if people will understand your character. I am who I am, but the people have been brilliant and I can’t thank them enough with how they’ve embraced me & my family. I’m just glad to have given them some joy”. 🥲 #nufc

This is what Liam Kennedy said on the Geordie Journos the other day after Howe’s departure, but it applies to any individual leaving the club. Quite a deep way of looking at it, but also very simple at the same time. An emotional way of looking at it, but not at the same time… We can become as attached to players & managers as we much as we want while here, and some are a much bigger part of the story than others. Some it’ll feel suitable to stay attached to when they depart, with others it won’t feel right. But they do all quite literally come and go, with #nufc and its fans being the constant. When they leave, they become part of the past, with no written rule for them to be remembered as massive legends by anyone (obviously, in the current context, I’m talking about the players rather than Eddie here). At the end of the day, we just want the club to keep succeeding with whoever is there. As I said it’s quite a deep way of thinking which only comes out in moments like this😅, but something I’d never really thought about before watching this video. Probably because it can feel really strange having to detach yourself from them as a fan.
