Manhattan: West 204th Street & Sherman Avenue, several people, including a pedestrian, were injured this morning in the Inwood section of Manhattan. Police said a Corvette was speeding eastbound on Sherman Avenue around 6:30 a.m. when it collided with a Mercedes-Benz near West 204th Street. The Corvette then struck a 34-year-old pedestrian before coming to a stop near a building. The Mercedes continued into a parked, unoccupied moped. The driver of the Mercedes fled the scene and remains wanted by police. The Corvette driver, a passenger, and the pedestrian were all taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition. Investigators are looking into whether the vehicles were drag racing before the crash. The Corvette driver has not been charged.

Queens: Long Island Expressway near the Woodhaven Blvd entrance, the driver of a Jeep who seemed to be in a hurry apparently thought the shoulder was the fastest way around traffic, unfortunately, he forgot to check who was sitting in traffic next to him. Video shows the driver driving on the shoulder of the highway to get around traffic, but an MTA Police Department Highway Patrol officer was sitting right there in traffic. The officer immediately pulled out and stopped the Jeep. Talk about being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Brooklyn: Flatbush Avenue & Woodruff Avenue, new video shows the moments leading up to the arrest of a 35-year-old woman who allegedly punched a police officer in the head while officers were dispersing a large disorderly crowd during the Jamaican Parade on Saturday. According to police, the officer suffered pain and injury after being punched in the head. As reported on NYC Scoop, the suspect was arrested following the incident and charged with Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, Harassment in the 1st Degree, and Disorderly Conduct. DISCLAIMER: This video only shows a small portion of the incident and does not capture the entire interaction. The camera is also not always facing the woman who was arrested, and the alleged punch is not visible in the video. Bronx: East 149th Street & Walton Avenue, a violent man released on parole just months ago is now wanted after three people were shot and two were killed in separate incidents across the Bronx and Brooklyn. The suspect, 31-year-old Jesus Acosta, was released in April after serving 10 years behind bars for a 2015 Harlem subway shooting. Early Tuesday morning, Acosta walked into a bodega on East 149th Street & Walton Avenue, opened fire and struck a 33-year-old customer. He then went behind the counter and emptied the register as a frightened cashier lay on the floor trying to avoid the gunfire. Acosta fled with the cash. The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln, where he later died from his injuries. NYPD Chief of Detectives from the NYPD 44th Precinct right away got to work and linked the case to another shooting in Brooklyn. Just after midnight Sunday, two men were shot inside American Best Wings and Pizza near Rockaway Avenue & Newport Street in the Brownsville neighborhood of Brooklyn. Officers from the NYPD 73rd Precinct found a 44-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head and a 39-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the leg. Both victims were transported to Brookdale Hospital. The 44-year-old man was later pronounced dead, while the 39-year-old remains in stable condition. Detectives say both shootings are connected to Acosta, who remains on the lose.

Manhattan: West 37th Street & 8th Avenue, two suspects were arrested during a narcotics sale that was witnessed by plainclothes MTA police officers. According to the MTA , plainclothes officers from the MTAPD were conducting targeted enforcement around Penn Station and Grand Central Terminal, focusing on narcotics activity on the blocks around the stations in an effort to prevent it from spilling into the transit system. Officers observed a male suspect approach a female suspect at the corner of West 37th Street and 8th Avenue to allegedly facilitate the sale of crack cocaine. The male was observed handing the female a small rock of suspected crack cocaine, which she then concealed in her right hand. MTA police moved in, and both suspects were apprehended. During a lawful search of the male suspect following his arrest, officers recovered eight glassine envelopes containing suspected heroin, two plastic capsules containing suspected crack cocaine, and one clear vial containing a large rock of suspected crack cocaine. The seller, a 22-year-old male who lives in the Bronx, was arrested and charged: • Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree The buyer, a 47-year-old female who lives in Manhattan, was arrested and charged: • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree

Brooklyn: 16th Avenue & 49th Street, a fatal collision claimed the life of a bicyclist Wednesday afternoon in Borough Park. Police responded to a 911 call for a vehicle collision at 16th Avenue and 49th Street, within the confines of the NYPD 66th Precinct. According to the NYPD NEWS, a 2021 Mack cement truck, operated by a 68-year-old man, was traveling southbound on 16th Avenue when it struck a 53-year-old male bicyclist who was traveling in the same direction. Chevra Hatzalah EMS transported the victim to Maimonides Health Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. The truck operator remained on scene. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad.

Manhattan: Broadway & Duane Street, a woman on an MTA bus was blasting her FaceTime call yesterday on full volume, disturbing everyone on board. When passengers politely asked her to lower it or use headphones, she refused, then started running her mouth at anyone who spoke up. Moments later, she punched a passenger who began filming her disturbance. The NYPD responded, and the victim chose not to press charges.

Bronx: Clason Point Lane & Lafayette Avenue, a tense encounter unfolded in the Soundview neighborhood in the Bronx after officers from NYPD 43rd Precinct public safety team approached a teenager sitting on the street with a group. According to a witness, the group was sitting outside talking about the stock market when officers arrived. He claims officers immediately went into his friend's bag and says similar encounters have been happening to them for months. The situation quickly became heated as additional people approached the officers, who repeatedly attempted to keep the crowd back. At one point, a person had a small box cutter, which he said was being used for construction. Officers ultimately did not take it, and no arrests were made. The NYPD's public safety units are specifically tasked with addressing gun and drug activity, and officers may have legitimate reasons to investigate someone they believe could be concealing a weapon. At the same time, whether officers had the legal justification to search the bag is a separate question, and one that cannot be determined from the video alone. The encounter ended with officers leaving the scene as tensions remained high.

Manhattan: West 34th Street & 11th Avenue, a homeless individual was caught urinating on a D train at the Hudson Yards station, turning a subway car into a literal bathroom. Commuters were forced to stand in the stench while the person openly relieved themselves in full view. Another day in NYC’s collapsing transit syste, where riders are trapped breathing urine while City Hall keeps pretending this is “compassion.” This is what happens when quality-of-life laws disappear and chaos becomes normalized. Platforms are filthy, trains smell like piss, and paying riders are treated like background characters in a failed social experiment. New Yorkers don’t deserve this. Public transit isn’t a shelter. It’s not a restroom. And it’s definitely not a dumping ground for broken policies.

Queens: Merrick Boulevard & Baisley Boulevard, a 15-year-old boy was shot and killed yesterday near the Roy Wilkins Park in the St. Albans neighborhood after a fight involving multiple youths escalated into gunfire. The shooting happened yesterday around 6:15 p.m. by the Nautilus Playground inside Roy Wilkins Park, within the confines of the 113 Precinct. When officers arrived, they found a 15-year-old with a gunshot wound to the chest. EMS rushed him to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Footage appears to show two youths, the victim and the shooter, involved in some type of encounter while a large crowd surrounded them and recorded on their phones. The victim was then slapped in the face. Seconds later, the shooter fired a shot, causing panic as people ran from the scene. Detectives are exploring whether the shooting was gang-related and believe the 15-year-old may have been the intended target. The gunman remains at large. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Brooklyn: Linden Boulevard & Van Siclen Avenue, a man pit up a struggle with the police after they attempted to arrest him for an illegal gun. Occodring to the NYPD, officers observed an individual with a loaded firearm within the confines of the NYPD 75th Precinct When officers attempted to arrest him, he resisted, and bullets began falling out of his pocket during the struggle. A woman at the scene began screaming at officers for using force. A lieutenant explained that the man was carrying an illegal firearm, but she continued arguing with officers. Brooklyn: Kingston Avenue & Rutland Road, a man tragically drowned this afternoon inside a basement in Crown Heights as a powerful storm swept through New York City, causing massive flooding across several neighborhoods throughout the city.. According to reports, the victim went into the flooded basement in an attempt to save his dog and somehow drowned in the water. Officers from the NYPD 71st Precinct and firefighters from the FDNY responded to the scene. With the assistance of FDNY scuba divers, the man was pulled from the water and rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Bronx: Morrison Avenue & Westchester Avenue, a chaotic dispute between a bar bouncer and a group of junkies turned ugly and violent, unfolding like a scene out of a movie. The incident began inside a a bar, where the bouncer attempted to remove the group after they were acting disorderly, but they refused to leave. The bouncer then physically removed them out. A passerby stepped in and escalated the situation, turning it physical with one of the individuals. The confrontation quickly spilled out onto the street and moved away from the bar, where it continued independently of the original dispute. Video shows one person being thrown to the ground and knocked unconscious while others continue fighting nearby. The same passerby who escalated the situation is then seen approaching the unconscious victim, reaching directly into his pocket, pulling out his wallet, and robbing him. The bouncer is seen trying to intervene but is unsuccessful. The suspect opens the wallet, finds it empty, throws it to the ground, and say: "He got no money either way. He broke." He then targets another individual, knocks him to the ground, deploys pepper spray, and flees the scene, claiming they were attacking him. The agitator the makes his way onto the subway, jumps the turnstile and fled with a train.
