In the 2009 AFC Divisional Playoffs at San Diego the New York Jets faced the hottest team in football and no one gave them a chance. Behind Nick and the OL Shonn Greene & Thomas Jones combined for 37 carries and 169 yards and gave Rex the confidence to go for the win on 4th & 1 clinging to a 3 point lead with a minute left. #NickMangold

We're all angry and frustrated but all hope isn't lost. Here's the famous "you play to win the game" rant by Herm Edwards which happened after the Jets fell to 2-5 in 2002. The New York Jets had just blown a 21-3 lead at home to Cleveland to fall to 2-5 and the season looked over. They came out the next week and dominated the 6-1 Chargers at San Diego 44-13 which began a 7-2 run that led to the AFC East championship. When they fell to 2-5 they were 3 games behind division leading Miami who they already lost to earlier in the year. #JetUp #Jetshistory #Jets #NFL #YouPlayToWinTheGame

11/29/1992 On this date in 1992 Dennis Byrd was partially paralyzed in the Jets game against the Chiefs at the Meadowlands. I've been following this team since the early 80s and this was the worst moment I have seen. This clip is from the Jets 1992 video yearbook after Dennis was able to walk again a few months later. #DennisByrd

11/25/2010 On this date in 2010 the 8-2 New York Jets played host to the Cincinnati Bengals on Thanksgiving and it became the Brad Smith show. Brad had 200 total yards including a 53 yard rushing TD and an 89 yard Kickoff return TD to lead the Jets to a 26-10 win. Here are both TDs from that night.
