On this Juneteenth, we share the story of Jimmy Claxton, who broke baseball's color barrier with the Oakland Oaks back in 1916, and was the first African-American player to appear on a baseball card. We salute the brave and talented players like Jimmy Claxton and Jackie Robinson who paved the way for equity in sports - and served as an example for all Americans.
