Whilst the proposed Oct 7th pro-Pally walkabout will be distasteful to many, they did this last year (see clip below). There were very minor issues, thus nothing to justify a ban this year on the grounds of very serious disorder. Those who want it banned need to campaign for a change in the law not moan at the Met.

Not sure of their exact title but these are the security who patrol the streets of the West End. Yesterday, 4 police officers were surrounded by a mob after making an arrest at a demo. These guys stepped in to form a cordon to protect them until assistance arrived. Brilliant.
