I'm still 'Last King of Scotland', says Idi Amin's grandson, Aziz Ringo Aziz Abdul Ringo, who was disqualified in the boxing quarterfinals of the just-concluded #CommonwealthGames after headbutting England's Damar Thomas, says he was pushed into "war mode" because he believed the referee had become biased. Ringo also claims the British media 'tricked' him into making comments about his grandfather, former President Idi Amin Dada, which he says probably influenced the officiating and swayed the bout in Thomas's favour. From inside the palace: Uganda President Yoweri Museveni's son-in-law Odrek Rwabwogo says he's extremely worried to the core about the direction the country is taking. Rwabwogo has asked Ugandans to unite and speak out. He says the army and NRM's vote rigging, bribery, ballot stuffing, shooting of voters in the 2026 general elections and monetisation of the country's politics are a bigger threat to Uganda than foreign invasion, flooding, and earthquake, because now it doesn't pay to be good at what you do and as such, we can't get good leaders, good teachers, good doctors anymore.

This is Junior Dave (JK) Kazoora, a renowned veteran media personality. Following the abduction and torture of former Kampala Lord Mayor and PFF president Erias Lukwago on June 18, 2026, Kazoora praised CDF Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba for what he described as a "brilliant media strategy" of posting what he called "fake" photographs of a tortured Lukwago in the infamous 'basement', similar to what had earlier happened in the case of Bobi Wine's bodyguard, Eddie Mutwe. In a scathing interview, Kazoora's aunt, Miria Matembe, strongly criticised Muhoozi, accusing him of behaving like "Idi Amin incarnate" and of taking pride in the abduction and killing of Ugandans. Soldiers would raid Matembe's home on June 22, 2026, but did not find her because she had reportedly gone out for her routine exercise. Matembe has not been seen since. On June 26, 2026, Kazoora appealed to the soldiers to release Matembe's body to the family for decent burial if she had been killed. He also appealed to the soldiers, if they were indeed still holding her, not to torture her.

Inside the Palace: President Museveni's son-in-law, Odrek Rwabwogo, has again weighed in on governance issues, urging Ugandans to speak out without fear against impunity and violations of the rule of law. Rwabwogo argued that suppressing civic dissent is counterproductive to national development, saying citizens should be free to express their views on matters affecting the country's governance. His latest remarks come after an earlier video in which he warned that abuse of power through torture, killings, electoral malpractice, and the militarisation of politics posed a greater threat to Uganda's stability than external enemies or natural disasters.

Kiira Motors Corporation is listed as an agency and corporation under the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Secretariat. Here is the officially released video of the 'STI Western Corridor Technical Visit'. Never mind that Kiira Motors just recently did a 13,700km "Made in Uganda Pearl to Cape Electric Expedition" from Kampala, Uganda, to Cape Town, South Africa, in a bid to convince African governments and the private sector to purchase Uganda's electric vehicles. The Uganda government has a long-term capital investment plan of $1.74 billion through 2028 to achieve full-scale manufacturing optimisation and transition public transport to e-mobility by 2030.
