Once again, I thank President Yoweri K Museveni for retaining me in the cabinet to serve as the State Minister for Sports in this "Kisanja no more sleep" under the able leadership and supervision of Maama, Janet K. Museveni, the senior minister. The journey of service begun today after taking oath at State House and I remain committed to revolutionalising the sports sector and with immediacy, resume the preparations to deliver the country's dream of hosting AFCON 2027.

Congratulations to Namuwongo Blazers for becoming the National Basketball League Men’s Champions 2026 after defeating City Oilers Basketball Club 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆. I have watched basketball but this is one of the best games I have watched in many years. The 10 times City Oilers Basketball Club 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆 had everyone to a pause when they sent the defending Champions Namuwongo Blazers to over time. To FUBA and National Council of Sports -Uganda, thank you for coordinating and organizing the final official Basketball game at our prestigious Hoima City Arena. I wish to thank all the basketball fans that took the road to Hoima City Arena for game 7 of the series. Congratulations to Namuwongo Blazers once again. #NBLPlayoffs2026 #NBLFinals2026
