UPDATE: Oklahoma City man stepped up to pay Don Vaught’s property tax on his Owasso home for the rest of his life. Jason Thomas, a stranger from Oklahoma City and the CEO of Thomas Blonde, saw Vaught's story and felt compelled to act. Thomas paid off the remainder of Vaught's initial $14,000 GoFundMe goal. He then wanted to cover his taxes on his property. "Then going forward for the rest of his life, we're going to pay his property taxes so this is never a problem again," Thomas said Vaught had a message for Thomas. "I had 60 years with my wife, and I hope he has 60 years with his wife," Vaught said. Vaught said if his wife would be incredibly thankful. The Oklahoma standard hard at work 🇺🇸

📍ENID, OK - Oklahoma father speaks out after daughter hospitalized from viral 'Benadryl challenge' Richard Presson, said he learned about her participation in the challenge from one of her friends. "I was told by one of my daughter's friends that her and my daughter have both been doing this challenge," He described the devastating impact on his daughter and family. "My daughter is now in ICU. She's been here for five days. It's heartbreaking, you know, to watch your loved one go through this. She was perfectly fine Sunday. Within 24 hours, she's tried this, and she's laying lifeless," he said. So sad. Prayers for her recovery 🙏🏻

Local Resident Tyler Terril Filmed this and uploaded to Facebook as frustration grows due to lack of coverage on the matter. “Welcome to N Virginia ave Okc. Every day it grows bigger and the city has to come once a week to pick up the trash,needles and crack pipes. Open drug use all day long. nudity/prostitution all day long, constant fighting sometimes with sticks or machetes, people sleeping in the road or just sitting in the middle of the lane. Sometimes they are just pooping on the sidewalk. I don’t know why this isn’t being covered in the news. Even the murders barely get any coverage”

NEW: Recorded phone calls from behind the bars of the Cleveland County Jail uncover DUI-convicted felon Sara Polston’s special treatment during her time locked up. “My iPad still isn’t charged,” complained Polston over the phone to her husband, Rod Polston. “Do you think I’ll have any special treatment?” Asked Sara in a conversation with Rod at the Cleveland DC. “I don’t know, I’m going to try anyway that I can. I got the highest workers working on it,” said Rod at one point to his wife. The Grand Jury report found that Rod, at one point, brought his wife Chick-fil-A. She was also issued a tablet in a manner outside of normal procedure. The report stated that the sheriff informed investigators that he wanted to help the Polstons. “He stated he was trying to do Polstons a favor and wanted to do them a solid.”

📍 WARNER, OK - High School Students Learn How To Build A House From The Ground Up! A dozen students in a construction class at Warner High School have completed a 3-bedroom, 2-bath home, which is now for sale. The school district is accepting sealed bids for the home at 1003 E 5th Avenue in Warner, with a minimum bid of $210,000. The bids will be opened on May 15th. Teacher Ira Jackson returned to the classroom after retiring to teach the hands-on work. “The goal of the program is to produce students who can read a tape measure and understand the basics of carpentry and building, and move on from there,” he said. Several students already have job offers after working alongside licensed trades workers during construction. Ethan Atkerson, a Warner High School senior, said he helped with cabinetry, guttering and lighting, and is certain he’ll pursue a career in construction. “I’ve loved doing every part of this,: he said. “It’s all been enjoyable to me. I like being able to work with my hands, and this is something that I can work with my hands and look at the work and think, I did that, I’m proud of that.” Every high school in America should be doing this!
