للليمون العُماني مكانةٌ تتجاوز كونه محصولًا زراعيًا؛ فهو أحد الأصناف المحلية التي شكّلت جزءًا من هوية الزراعة في عُمان، وظل حاضرًا في تفاصيل الحياة اليومية والمائدة العُمانية. وفي مزرعة رحب، نحتفي اليوم بأول حصاد لهذا المحصول، بعد عامين من العمل المتواصل ضمن أول مشروع للاعتماد الكربوني، في تجربةٍ تعكس كيف يمكن للاستدامة أن تحافظ على الأصناف المحلية، وتعزز الإنتاج الزراعي، وتدعم مستقبل الأمن الغذائي في سلطنة عُمان. رحلةٌ بدأت بفكرة... وتُثمر اليوم واقعًا. The Omani lime is more than just a crop. It is a native variety that has long been part of Oman’s agricultural heritage, with a lasting place in everyday life and on Omani tables. Today, at Rahab Farm, we celebrate its first harvest after two years of dedicated care, as part of the first carbon credit project. A milestone that reflects how sustainability can help preserve native varieties, strengthen agricultural production, and contribute to a more resilient food system for the Sultanate of Oman. A journey that began with a vision… Now bearing its first harvest.
