As the "Nolan bros" fight the "ring-wing culture warriors", I stand with the facts and data of it all and here is the deal: The Odyssey beat the projections and had a solid global opening (enough to set the stage for a chance at crossing $1 billion and making profit...depending on how next week goes)...it is also true, however, that if we are talking about actual butts in seats (ticket sales)...this is actually one of the lowest viewed Nolan movies of the last 20 years or so...two things can be true at once. James Gunn's DCU has officially hit rock bottom with Supergirl's global opening only hitting $68 million...this is less than The Flash, Birds of Prey, The Marvels, and even Morbius BEFORE adjusting for inflation...possibly the worst box office opening for a super hero/comic book film in the modern era...the movie is on pace to lose well over -$200 million
