#WellingtonOPP would like to remind motorists of the “Move Over” Law. When approaching stopped emergency vehicles, tow trucks, or roadside assistance vehicles with flashing lights activated, drivers are required by law to SLOW DOWN and, when safe, MOVE OVER to the next lane. This driver was observed traveling too fast and dangerously close to an active traffic stop, which is a serious safety concern. Emergency personnel need a safe buffer to assist motorists and carry out their duties on the roadside. Your caution can save lives. Penalties for non-compliance include fines ranging from $490 to $2,000 and three demerit points upon conviction. County of Wellington ^cm

A Message of Appreciation from #GreyBruceOPP On December 31st, during a snowstorm, one of our officers encountered a wanted individual walking in a live lane on Highway 21 in Saugeen First Nation. When a struggle began during the arrest, two members of the public stopped to help. Thanks to their quick actions, the situation was safely brought under control. These citizens left before the officer could thank them, but we want to express our sincere appreciation. Your willingness to step in during a dangerous moment made a real difference.
