The IDF announced that two operatives were killed in separate strikes in Gaza City on Monday: Abdullah Munir Mahmoud Harz, a deputy platoon commander in Islamic Jihad's rocket array, and Muhammad Wael Mustafa Sha'sha'a, a sniper in Hamas's Daraj-Tuffah Battalion. According to the military, both had been working to advance attacks on troops and Israeli civilians and to rebuild the capabilities of the two groups in violation of the ceasefire.

Every autumn, around 40,000 to 50,000 Great White Pelicans migrate through Israel from Europe to Africa. Israel is their last major feeding stop before crossing the Sinai Desert, with each bird consuming roughly 1 kg of fish daily. To prevent the birds from raiding commercial fish farms, Israeli authorities deliver truckloads of fish to designated feeding sites, including the Viker Reservoir in central Israel. The birds feed, regain energy and continue their journey south.
