🚨🇵🇰🪖✈️ OSINT REPORT: CHILAS AIRFIELD, WHY IS PAKISTAN UPGRADING THE RUNWAY NOW? Pakistan is currently renovating the runway at Chilas Airfield in occupied Gilgit Baltistan. The airfield has a roughly 1.37 km runway and has been used for PAF training aircraft, logistics aircraft and helicopter operations. At its current length, the runway appears unsuitable for routine fighter jet operations. The upgrade could enhance its capacity and utility for military aviation. Further satellite imagery could reveal whether Pakistan intends to expand the airfield’s military role.
