The Oyo State Government has increased its equity investment in Oyo Sugar and Derivatives Industries Limited, Iseyin by an additional N2.4B, as the company prepares for commissioning and commencement of commercial operations in Q4 2026. Upon completion, the sugar factory will produce 24–27 tonnes of brown sugar and 18 tonnes of molasses daily creating over 500 direct jobs and working with about 1,000 farmers as outgrowers.
